Nissan Leaf Long Distance Trip with Uphills

I would like to share my long trip experience of my Niisan LEAF car with you. I started our journey on 2016 July 6 at 4.45am from Wennappuwa. My route was Wennappuwa-Dankotuva-Giriulla-Ambepusa-Mawanella-Pilimathalawa-Kandy-Rikillagaskada. I charged my EV to 100% from home(Wennappuwa). There were 4 passengers + 1 Toddler + baggage’s.
When we started the journey the outside temperature 27C. I started with D Eco mode.

We could reach to Pannala at 5.20am. 80% Battery remaining after passing 27km.  
69% Battery remaining after passing 42km. 

We took our breakfast near to Ambepussa Railway station (52km). We stayed there around 20mints. At that time 63% Battery remaining after passing 52km. Outside temperature is 24C.  

We came to Colombo – Kandy Road at 6.33am. I changed to D Mode from D Eco.
 

We reached to Kadugannawa(100km) at 7:30am. At that time 24% Battery remaining.


We came to Pilimathalawa Charging Point(105km) at 7:45am. Special thanks go to Mr. NK Gunawardena for updating Fast Charging network in Sri Lanka.This Evpoint is operated by Walisundara Holdings. At that time 19% Battery remaining. The staff are friendly and helpful. There are refreshment in this place. There is a super market very closed to this place.You can do shopping while charging :)

It took 19 minutes to charge my Nissan Leaf Car (19% to 79%). After that we let the cool down the battery for 35mints.  When I started the car The Battery Temperature increased to 7 bars. 

When we reached to Haragama(133km) 62% Battery remaining (27km after quick Charge). We took a Rest around 30 minutes at Haragama. 

We Reached to Hanguranketha(151km) at 11:05am. At that time 46% Battery Remaining (45km after quick Charge).  

The road is under construction after passing Rikillagaskada Town. 

We reached to our destination (159.6km) at 11.30am. At that time 26% Battery remaining  (54km after quick Charge). Total Battery consuming was 136% throughout the journey. Please watch the following video for more details.
